Hong Kong, 7 December 2010 – While HIV epidemics in many countries of the world are stabilizing, HIV prevalence among men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender persons in major cities in Asia continues to be at extremely high levels, and in some cities appears to be increasing. There are concerns that if countries fail to strengthen city level responses, the situation may worsen, leading to potential reversal of national progress on HIV.
